The Soyo board is a very stable board, the only digs I have ever seen are that it is not a very good overclocker. I had the Soyok t333 ultra before my Soyo kt400 ultra and was very happy with it as I am with my kt400. Both of them are more stable than any of the many Epox boards I have had in...
Trying to set up a new system based on the p4t533 and running into problems during XP install. System goes through bios and RAID bios fine. I have a defined array that is functional and load my Promise XP drivers from floppy when prompted. Windows finishes loading drivers and then locks up at...
That was the problem I re-flashed the bios and re-installed XP with the jumper in the 133 slot. I am currently running FSB of 145 and it has been rock stable for the last day and a half. I have been beating the hell out of it with various programs without so much as a hiccup.
As far as the...
Millsy definitely flash your bios to the newest version from epox before doing anything. It is very easy to do. I had alot of problems doing the initial boot from cd for XP until I updated the bios.
Sandorsky, I installed XP with the 1900 in, but with the jumper at 100 and switched the jumper...
Sorry about the old tag lines.
I am trying to run an Xp1900+ but I can't get it to work at over 100fsb, if I trun it up any higher locks up trying to load winXp.
I am now running my old t-bird 1.4 in the same setup at 140fsb with no problems, until I can find out what is wrong with the xp1900...
My new xp won't let me set the fsb any higher than 100 or it will lock trying to load winXP(just after bios and raid screens). At 100 no problems at all other than poor performance. Without changing anything else swapped in t-bird 1.4, it could hit 140, put 1900 back nothing over 100.

RAID enables you to use two or more hard drives in tandem. Two types of RAID are Raid0 striping, allows both drives to be written to at the same time thus improving performance. RAID1mirror makes an exact duplicate of the master drive to a backup incase something should happen to the master...
I finally have my new set-up all together and working, but I am having trouble overclocking. I have an ASUS A7A266 MB with 512mb. I have read that with this board you can't change the multiplier, so I tried turning up the FSB a little only up to around 1456. When I would do this the system...
It would start flashing the message as soon as Windows started. Would stop if I turned off the ASUS probe.
Thinking it was a memory problem I removed each of my memory sticks one at a time with no difference.
I then went back in and turned my virtual memory back on and now it stopped giving...
I recently installed a new motherboard,ASUS A7A266. Problem is when I run the ASUS probe software it keeps saying floating point error and doesn't give any details. The machine seems to run fine except when I run something demanding it will lock up.
All temps are normal.
Any...
