Another old old OLD timer popping in to say hello. Haven't been doing any distributed computing in a few years and haven't visited the forum in a long time. Started with RC5, then SETI. Lots of fond memories crunching and UT fragging. So Hello!

Been awhile since I've been around and a long time since I did any distributed computing. Just popped in to say hi.

Commuting downtown 2 hours each way doesn't leave a lot of time for BBQ, so I found they have Sweet Baby Rays pulled pork or chicken at the grocery store now! Hi everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone! SOB 2_______7T___________raysun2be What the heck? I have NO idea where that is coming from. I was downsized in May, and I'm pretty sure I turned shutdown SOB on anything at work. I recently rebuilt my PC at home, so I know it's not running there. Strange. :O

Man that sucks :(, I hope the pcs are ok. I had a UPS go bad, and fried everything. PSU, CPU, Fans, both hard drives, video card, motherboard, most everything was toast. The UPS was older, but it was an APC, business grade rack mount. I'd never had so much carnage in all the years of running PCs. :(

I must have said "A cabana girl wearing only palm fronds" out loud when I read the topic, because now I can achieve lower temps using my wife's icy cold stare......... :O Just standard fan cooling here, but I'm not overclocking anything.....

I've had a number of Antec PSUs fail, the last one was the one that took out my whole system. :( No more Antec PSUs for me, although I like their cases. :)

During a big storm, lightening hit a transformer right outside my apt. once, blew the transformer, fried the cable connectors, a live wire landed on a car and started frying it like a huge arc welder. Fire dept. showed up, but they couldn't do anything until the power co. turned off the power...
