Thanks for all the advice. :) I rebooted and went into safe mode. from there I chose vga and got in. Once there, I was able to recall my video settings and evrything seems to working again. Again, I'd like to thank all of you. :)

Hello, when I boot up xp pro, the computer goes through the standard start up sequence, but after the windows logo with the animated loading bar finishes the screen blanks and then the monitor goes into sleep mode. I have to run in safe mode to use it. Any ideas as to what causing this? thanks
