We have been monitoring temps they're going into the 80s, graphical issues start in the 70s though. The inside of the case is dust free, I was amazed when I opened it up before selling that there wasn't a grain of dust inside, it has good airflow.
I didn't realise it had a lifetime warranty...
Hey,
I recently sold a PC to a friend and after a few weeks he complained of seeing unusual graphics on screen, sometimes the screen would go dark, other times grainy, other times graphics would appear garbled flap around the screen.
The card is XFX Radeon 7970 3GB GDDR5 Double Dissipation...
Thanks for the suggestion, I looked deeper into Synology and ended up at their competition QNAP... I love the idea of the virtualisation containers they offer but looks like it's going to cost me more than i'd hoped.
So far i've settled on: QNAP TS-253A-4G -- Haven't quite made up my mind...
I'm becoming increasingly concerned that I am not doing enough to keep my data backed up so have been looking at some in-house / personal cloud storage.
I would previously use my gaming/HTPC to copy files but as of late spending less time gaming and watching TV shows the HTPC is never...
I'm looking for a new case for my HTPC, I have purchased new furniture and my SilverStone Grandia GD06 will no longer fit in the new TV unit, i'm thinking the best thing to do will be to buy a case that is small/slim enough to fit behind it.
The problem is the majority of the parts are full...
I'm wondering what is the best way to analyse PC performance and bottle necks when gaming?
I've built a decent system but still see lagging from time to time. I'd like to do some testing to see if anything is slowing my system down, i suspect it's the CPU.
Some games i've noticed lagging...
Oh cool, cheaper the better :) will check them out thanks
I only use it for gaming and watching movies... reason i was thinking about the upgrade is that i seen some games are saying i7 recommended, for example: Watch Dogs
lmao

I'm looking for a quieter CPU cooler. I currently have a Haswell i5-4440 @ 3.0Ghz. Not too bothered about overclocking at the moment, when the system is under pressure the stock fan doesn't sound very nice at all.
My case restrictions are 120mm, however i'd like to keep it within 70mm as this...
Thanks for the explanation, i haven't looked in the manual but i can't see anything re: voltage controls for fan headers but all of them are 4 pins so i can safely assume it doesn't support voltage control, i'm running a MSI H87M-G43.
I'm going to go ahead and order 3 x Noctua NF-S12A PWM...
I've updated the firmware and the fans are still full speed, the system is cool without them running so if some control is available, they shouldn't be running at full speed.. i tried manually altering from the BIOS and got no change in speed in either direction. I once again tried to alter the...
