would an ultra ide 133 hard drive work on an ata 133 motherboard? does the fact that the hard drive is 'ultra' make any difference? also, the website for this motherboard doesn't mention any IDE connectors but newegg.com does... can anyone tell for sure if this motherboard has 2 ata 133...

Hey, I have an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ and a Volcano 7+ heatsink. The Volcano 7+ is on it's lowest 'noise' level, but is still pretty loud. Is there another heatsink that anyone can recommend that will keep my athlon xp 2000+ cpu cool, but quiet?

Well I wanted to look around a bit before I updated the bios, so I found that it has something to do with the promise raid controller. I disabled raid, but is there anything else that would need to be disabled?

I do have the raid version and I'm pretty sure raid is disabled. It worked fine before I put the dru500a drive in, so i don't think it has anything to do with raid... when I first had this problem, it happened even when the dru500a drive wasn't connected. I'm going to try updating the bios...
