Help with HP Pavilion dv6 not turning on

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6135dx that has stopped working properly. It refuses to turn on most of the time. When it does turn on, I have to boot Windows to safe mode, then restart and it works perfectly fine until it goes into any kind of power saving mode or is restarted again. It acts the same...

Is there a better laptop for me?

I currently use an Acer Aspire One 722 (AMD C-60, 2GB, upgraded 60GB SSD, 3.2lbs) It's fast enough for all the usual stuff, but I would like to be able to game a bit on the go. I'm specifically looking for something than can play Guild Wars 2 decently at low-med detail. I'd like to stay at 4...

Where to get one of these?

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize J&W had no US retailers, thought they were just uncommon. Guess I'm going with the Zotac board and keep my E8400.

Where to get one of these?

Anyone know a respectable place that stocks this board? Only one I ever see is geeks.com, but it's never in stock now. If not, is there another good 780G board with a PCIe x16 slot?

    THE Hydra Demo

Just got around to reading the reports and posts about this thing. It seems quite promising if they can deliver. I have one question though that I haven't seen asked anywhere. Would this chip be capable of being put on and add-in card by itself ?

    MSI 8800GT OC(660MHz and 1900MHz GDDR3) $177.98 final (AR + shipping) - Chiefvalue

Sorry, I probably shouldn't have used the word 'identical'. I don't think the manufacturer of the cards matters. But it does have to be the same GPU core. I'm not using SLI so I can't say all of the exact limitations on it, but I'm sure it's in one of the articles here.

    MSI 8800GT OC(660MHz and 1900MHz GDDR3) $177.98 final (AR + shipping) - Chiefvalue

The 8800GT (G92) and 9600GT (G94) are actually the same architecture, just one missing a few SPs and such. But no, as of right now Nvidia's SLI only works with 2 identical cards.

Compaq laptop $299.99 AR (plus shipping)

I can confirm the $80 shipping cost. And from what both of my local Office Depots say, NONE of the stores carry these in stock. They must be ordered, which they say take 10-12 business days, and you must pay the rediculous shipping cost
