Go with i7 or with Phenom II X4 955?

Alright then, thanks. I'll see what I can get from Newegg.com and go from there. I'm hoping for a substantial price difference (lower, anyways..)

Go with i7 or with Phenom II X4 955?

No, however I live 5 minutes from the border, so I can go anytime. I don't think there's a Microcenter in New York, so I really have no reason to go, considering the US prices are almost on the level of Canadian prices.

Go with i7 or with Phenom II X4 955?

    How's this future-proof PC?

I fixed the PSU link. Also, I didn't really consider getting an SSD right now; thought I could add one later. The only reason I didn't want an i5 was becuase I thought the i7 was better value for the money, and it might last longer (and overclock better, yes?)

    How's this future-proof PC?

Hello. I'm upgrading my PC on a colossal scale, as mine is currently from 2005 and it sucks. How is this for the future? ~Things to consider: The reason I chose the i7 920 over the 1166 models is because they are the same price, only the motherboard is a bit cheaper. I can spare some cash for...
