Another point to make, processor handling shouldn't be handled by the game, it should be handled by the OS. The game should only make requests of the system, and the system should decide how to handle it. That's why Microsoft implemented HAL in the first place isn't it?

Ok, so I got a rank, and chose to unlock my weapon later; now I can't seem to figure out how to unlock any weapons. Anybody know how?

I think it's from not blinking. Civ doesn't require as much focus and attention as FPS games. Blink once in a while and keep your eyes moisturized, take a break at least once an hour.

I have been playing BF2 on my admin account, and now I've set up non-admin accounts for everybody in the house. When I run BF2 it always asks me for admin p/w, even though it's set to run as admin for all users. When I check properties, the run as admin option is unchecked, but if i check...

I really don't see how they can make games that REQUIRE quad core chips for years to come. If they did that, their customer base would be so small, they'd have to charge 150-200 dollars to make a profit. They will continue to make games to feed the masses and deal with the current limitations...

Actually, the indexing starts within a few minutes of installing, according to Microsoft, and should only take 15-30 minutes.

Right click the file, properties, advanced button on the general tab, then uncheck the 'Index this file for faster searching' option...and that took me all of 30 seconds to figure out.

There's a guy that works at my company who still programs in Fortran. That's something I'd like to learn someday since it's a low level language. I've heard it's 10 times harder than C to learn.
