Question X570 MB scratched by screwdriver - it won’t get power from the PSU

I strongly second this! I wouldn't even connect my computers, TV's or any high end electronics to the same circuit as a refrigerator. If there is no other option at least get a UPS.

Question Trying to recover my brother's failed HDD

Not sure how well this will work since you opened it up ... i have had great success in placing an hdd in the freezer for a few hours. Get it hooked up and fired up quickly you might have time to at least get important data. I have been able to get at least 20 minutes out of failed drives this...

Question X570 Aorus Pro & Adata NVME

Thanks for the reply. I don't keep up with the tech between builds and shit changes so much in 5 or 6 years. My fear is that staying on top will have me wanting to upgrade before i have to. LOL I went ahead and ordered the PCIe 3 NVME drive since at this time gaming wise there seems to be no...

Question X570 Aorus Pro & Adata NVME

From what i have read so far the "real world" performance of the current PCIe4 SSD's is not much if any better than the better PCI3 drives. I was all set to go with the XPG SX8200 Pro 2TB 3D NAND PCIe NVMe Gen3x4 - current price of $290 until i saw this today ... XPG SX8100 2TB PCIe NVMe...

Discussion How much would you (or have you) paid for a mainstream (consumer) motherboard?

Last MB i bought was 2014 - ASUS SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK2 paid $175. Im in the process of putting together a new system and the boards im looking at are in the 220 - 280 range. Since i look for something that can last 5 - 6 years. Still debating the x570 vs Z390 chipsets.

    Pro sports becoming unwatchable?

As a recovering NFL addict i find watching the (no RGB) fans spin inside my case a better use of my time.

Question X570 Aorus Pro & Adata NVME

Im still trying to figure out the pcie lane thing. Can i run 2 mvme (pcie 3) without splitting lanes so both run at x4? Does pcie 4 share lanes with pcie3 or are they independent? Given these 2 pcie4 nvme's, which would be better for heat dissipation...

Question Want feedback on this new build

Very good point. I don't plan to RAID. I do need to rethink my old school "put the OS on a separate drive" ways. Actually ( i might be wrong) the x570 Aorus Pro for my Ryzen option does have the PCI-E lanes to accommodate. I put both drives in the Intel build without thinking. I might just...

Question Want feedback on this new build

Interested in tips/criticism/feedback on my all new build. Will start buying parts next month. (sooner once ive made up my mind and the deal is right) Primarily a gaming rig. I like to get 5 years out of a build. Budget - 2000 US dollars (i can go higher but will be upgrading my 1080p monitor...

Question X570 Aorus Pro & Adata NVME

Thats pretty much what i was thinking. I know ram can be tricky at times as there are more variables in play. I won't start buying my parts till next month so as it stands now im going to go with the Adata over Samsung unless i hear some compelling reasons not to. Thanks for the reply

Question X570 Aorus Pro & Adata NVME

Wanting to put 2 Adata NVME's in the X570 Aorus Pro that are not on the QVL. Anyone know, will this work? ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive part# ASX8200PNP-512GT-C ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive part# ASX8200PNP-2TT-C The QVL does...
