I'm not sure if you guys read the post completely or bothered to look at the screenshot I posted, but the drivers for the SATA installed just fine and shows up in device manager. Its the other two IDE devices and the "Promise SATA Console SCSI Processor Device" that isn't working. The drivers...
Asus does not have an serial ata drivers on their website. I have already checked and Promise only has drivers for addon card. Maxtor's Maxblast 3 software does not contain the drivers either.
I just got an OEM Maxtor Diamondmax 10 300gb SATA HD and I can't seem to get windows to install a proper driver. I have an ASUS P4C800E Deluxe motherboard with onboard Promise SATA controller.
I enabled the Promise SATA controller in the BIOS and set the mode it IDE since I only have one...
I am using the DVI connector on my EVGA FX 5700 Ultra. I really don't know what would be better for gaming so thats why I still have my CRT plugged in my VGA slot still. The hotspots do show up in gaming but like I said, its not very noticeable at all. The other issue I have is that it...
I've had mine for over a week now and i'd give it a 7 out of 10. For me at least there is definite hotspots in the backlighting thats uneven across the screen. But its not as noticeable once your eyes get used to it. Contrast wise, its great for games (provided you are running at 1280x1024)...
Thanks but its not much of a list to go by. Seems you must have Matrox SurroundGaming to use dual displays in games and it only works in horizontal span mode.
Is there a complete list somewhere of what games support dual monitors? I just got me a new Viewsonic VP912b to go with my 19 inch CRT and have it set up for dual desktops. I don't have any or can think of any games that will let me use both monitors at the same time. Any suggestions?
I have tried using 100 percent Rubbing Alcohol to remoce the pink thermal compound on AMD CPU stock heatsinks and it does nothing. Am I doing something wrong?
What kind of cooling are you using? I have the same chip and with and ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe and I have been able to only get up to 3.19ghz with the stock fan at 40*C idle and 55*C under load?
Is there a round of price drops around the corner for Intel CPUs? I think I remember last year they did them at least once a quarter. I'm looking to replace my socket 478 P4 2.8C with a 3.4E but the price has been flucuating at Newegg every week about plus or minus 5 to 10 dollars. So I'd...
This is the actual store link to the item in question
http://www.amamax.com/inpe42ghzb8f1.html
The description says Socket 478 and 3.6C but as far as I know there is no 3.6E either availlable in socket 478.
I recently did a google search for a Intel Pentium 4 3.6C Socket 478 processor and came up with a few stores that claim to have these in stock. I've seen the Intel roadmap on this site and others and there is no mention of a 3.6C part. Are these real or is someone mislabeling there stock...
