Hey !!! I am so happy ... I just received my BG7 ... I thought I could do my little BG7 review here ... :D First, the box is painted with nice shades of red and gold, quite pretty but not all have my tastes. The box opens easily and then, one immediately notices the top-notch bubble wrap...

Aaarg ... I got ALL the hardware for my new box except mobo and cpu. I can't afford waiting for the roundup anymore, I just bought an Abit BG7 & a P4 2.4B. I just hope the review will not end-up saying that the BG7 is a no-go mobo ! :frown: Psy7th

If I were you, I would post in the 'Motherboard' ot 'Technical support' channel and not in this thread. First because it's not 'i845G roundup' related anymore, and I am sure it will catch the attention of more people. Just an advice, sorry it doesn't help you fix your problem ... Psy7th

    **OFFICIAL** Abit BG7 (i845G) Thread

Hi all ... I am very interested in the BG7. It does/has everything I need except that it won't fit my case's IO back panel. I couldn't find out if Abit bundles one with the BG7. I see you guys have had it for quite some time ... so please tell me, does it come with the appropriate back panel ...

    Need Help Fast! GA-8IEXP Issue's...

You can use PC2700 RAM, but i845E motherboards don't allow RAM frequencies above 266Mhz (w/o OC). What you might want to check is i845G based motherboards which support PC2700 RAM (unofficially!), but I heard (not experienced) that it runs stable at DDR333 only with one ram stick, forcing to...

I just cannot figure this out (Computer freezes) HELP!!

Besides the cooling problem, I would investigate the power thread. Power might be unstable at his house and I would try a backup power protection device like APC's UPS. Unstable power usually leads to unexpected resets (no freeze), but you won't know if you don't try.

First, please include the Abit BG7 in the tests :D. Also, I would like to know: 1. Does it have the 4:5 CPU : DRAM ratio (with 133Mhz FSB) ? 2. Stability test with one versus two (or more) populated DIMM banks at DDR333 3. Comparison against i845E (i845E and i845G both with DDR266) 4...
