you want dvdrs on a v4 with the least amount of soldering, you'll need neo 2.5 dvd, 5 wires

Thanks for your advice. I just found some USB mod chips from www.modchipstore.com. It says the USB mod chip will fit for all PS models.
Can I just use that one to do the job?

Rumor has it that prices will be lowered with an announcement at or after the E3 Expo (late May). I doubt it though.

The 1C can still use the USBMod and GS, but I don't think that setup allows for DVDR backups. But, no one I'm friends with has any DVDRs, so my setup is good for now.

My PS2 GT bundles came yesterday. They're brand new! Unfortunately they just came with GT3 game and not the extra controller + memory card. Still a great deal with no tax!
this has got to be one of the funniest threads i've read so far. :) i don't know how much the above site charges for shipping but you can get these on fleabay for a little cheaper.
i got one on my samsung with sprintpcs service and reception went up a notch when i'm in my home so i guess it works for some and don't work for others.

which chip did you use? neo 2.2, 2.5? if it's a no solder mod, its really embarassing.
