Computer Start-Up: Nothing turns on but the computer!

This might sound rediculous, but it happened to me. If your not getting POST beeps, but everything is powering up fine, check the CPU. Specifically make sure the heatsink hasn't pulled it out from moving it. I actually had my Giga-byte 3D Rocket Cooler Pro pop out the CPU partially out of the...

    How does this set-up look?

Are you getting a new videocard as well? Getting that dual core Athlon will do nothing for your 8500. You should consider getting at least a 800xl, 6800 Vanilla or 6800gt. And that's at the low end. Or you could save up some pennies and go for a 7800GTX or R520 (if it ever ships)...

Sapphire Radeon x850 XT running badly. worse than my old PCI(not pci-e) card. mind boggling.

You probably already thought of this, but man your CPU is completely bottlenecking your videocard. A super fast card is wasted when a CPU can't feed it the data fast enough. You should really consider upgrading the CPU now if you want to see really dramatic peformance increases. Also getting...

Any Using e-GeForce 6800 GT Here and the Blue Screen of Death ?

I have an Antec Trublue 480Watt PSU. I don't have a multimeter with me, but I suriously doubt that it is the cause. I've tried running Guild Wars in windowed mode before it crashed and it just got over 70C before it crashed, way way way below the 120C ceiling allowed by the drivers. Also...

Any Using e-GeForce 6800 GT Here and the Blue Screen of Death ?

I am having the same issue. I thought it was a hard drive failing, but now that I've done more research I believe the 77 series drivers broke something bad in my card. I don't know how a driver could actually damage a core on a 6800Gt (NV40) but I think it has. I've tried cleaning out the...
