Used to use Winmx but seems to have gone by the wayside. Any suggestions for alternatives that are freeware? What about low cost software too...any suggestions? Curious about what everyone else may be using and/or recommend. Thanks

I want to copy and paste pdf documents into Microsoft Word (or something I am familiar with) so that they are easier for me to work with/edit (as mentioned above.) I hate doing this with Adobe pdf files...i.e., changing colors to black & white, "tightening up" space so that I don't use so...

What can I say...the dang thang is broke. No CMOS/BIOS load, bypasses the floppy and heads straight for the CD-R drive. No keyboard recognition. Monitor is in "hybernate state." No display of what is going on/running, etc. To go into what brought me to this point would be redundant...

I am curious to know what type files these are exactly. I use "Diskeeper Lite" and I see them listed on the report generated when I use it. And, how to delete them...If any or all are not necessary. Thanks...and by the way...please speak in lay terms.

You were right. The manual shows that, in order to upgrade to 128MB I have to use 64MB modules. So, it was reading only 32MB from the 128MB module I had installed. Only option I had was to install the original 32MB module, leave the 128MB module where it was (reading 32MB) for a total of...

I think so too...but how is the dang cd-burner working on 32MB? Is that logical? I've had no problems running it at all... Responses please

The package shows 8 chips in the illustration. And the computer is a Packard Bell Model Number 730

I recently upgraded the memory on my computer to 128MB and installed a cd burner. My cd burner has run with no problems. But, when I click on "my computer" and go to "properties," it still lists the RAM as 32MB. I haven't experienced any types of error messages associated with the upgrade...
