Your solution worked. I uninstalled evga precision, rivatuner, and speedfan, and then uninstalled/reinstalled the nvidia drivers. I played Crysis 2 without the fan stopping for 2 hours straight, no problems!! I haven't downloaded MSI afterburner cause I figured it might cause another...

OK so if I use MSI afterburner there would be no chance of conflict from the gtx 460's internal fan speeds and the programs?
