Took a look at the patch panel, there's no sockets for rj45, so how do I hook up each line to a switch? Could it be just phone? I've taken apart one of the face plates that has sockets for phone, cat5, and cable. All 3 are connected. How do I test if there's a switch?

I've no idea, I'll go check tomorrow, but I got a feeling there's no switch, why do these home builders add cat5, but skip the switch??? Not like they're pricey.

It should be cat5, Downstairs in the living room, the wall plates have coxial, phone, and cat5. 2 extra bedrooms has only RJ11 and coxial, but i took one wall plate off, 2 wires are not connected and wrapped around the cable, so I'm assuming that's cat5. Lol I should've really paid attention...

There's cat5 wired in all the rooms. There's a central networking cabinet in the master, it looks like it's only a punch down block, do I need to get a switch? How exactly do I connect the wires from the punch down to the switch?

I'm not a huge fan of AMDs so I'd like to stick to Intel. budge is probably going to be about $750 for the mobo, cpu, and 8gb ram. another $300 for the GPU, but I'd be willing to wait on that.

So these new intel chips have built in graphics, are there programs or built in functions that allow you to switch your graphics based on program? IE if I'm running anything on Steam it will switch to the dedicated card.
