    *** Official ABIT NF7/S (nForce2) Thread ***

Hey, guys, old thread, but maybe someone can help me out. I have an NF7 version 2.0. I use a Gravis Gamepad Pro gameport and so have to use an external card. I use a SBLive or SB128. It's very strange, but neither will allow the gamepad to work. I tried setting different IRQs in the BIOS...

    Making an old mouse smoother

I don't know if it's my perception or what, but I love the shape of my old Intellimouse Explorer 1.0. But, it has its downsides. Of course, the DPI is horrible, so that limits my choice of mousepads. But, I recently did a comparison of some new mice like the Ikari Laser Mouse and Razer...

Exes can't access files in Windows 7

Actually, I don't think it has anything to do with the exe, but more so with some type of permissions of the folder itself. It's like it can't read any file in the folder, much less the config file. It gives errors like the file isn't even there.

Exes can't access files in Windows 7

Hi. Some people have a weird problem with a program I made when they use it on Windows 7. Basically, the program reads a config file in the same directory. But, it thinks the config file isn't there, even when the program is run as admin. The only way I found to fix this is to create a new...

    Computer won't start

Woke up today and my old computer wouldn't start. I took out the power supply, cpu, and video card and put it in a comparable pc and it worked fine. When I turn it on, the fans start spinning, even the one hooked only into the motherboard for the cpu. The cdrom spins up, but strangely the...

    DVD drive won't work

My DVD drive recently broke, so I got a new one. The BIOS detected it ok and then XP detected it, but put a disk drive with a red question by it in Windows Explorer. So, I restarted. From that point on, the bios had trouble detecting it fast. Instead, it would say it found the dvd drive, but...

    Recommend a 2 computer KVM

The current one I have isn't too bad, a TrendNet TK-209. The main issue I have is when switching back and forth, there is this 5 or 6 second lag for Windows to rediscover the mouse and keyboard. Does anyone know if there is a KVM that doesn't do this?

    Modding an Intellimouse Explorer 1.0

Hi. I was wondering if I could interest anyone here in modding an intellimouse explorer 1.0 to use the 3.0 or intellimouse optical sensor? Here is a picture of the mouse you would be modding: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_VW-r...81QbALA/s400/mouse.jpg I would be willing to pay, of course.

    Responsive wireless keyboard

Hi, guys. I have an older wireless keyboard: Logitech Cordless Internet Pro. Anyway, I ended up giving it to my mom because it has noticeable delays if you type fast, and even if you don't. I was wondering how far they have come with wireless keyboards. Are there any with very little to no...

    XP can't see 98

Ok, I have the Win98 setup like that and the NetBEUI is default. I had NetBEUI I got somewhere off the net for XP, since I can't find it when going to the add protocol since I upgraded to SP3. But, I think it might have been wrong since I couldn't do any properties on it. Do you know where I...

    XP can't see 98

Yeah, I might pick up a router to give a try. All 3 are on the internet simultaneously with my 3 ips, just none of them can see 98 in the network.

    XP can't see 98

Thanks, I'll read that. I have 3 computers hooked up actually. 2 are XP and one is 98. It's the 98 one that I can't see, but the others are ok.
