thanks for everyones help i went out and bought a new psu and bingo! everything worked like a charm

ive tried another gfx card and it still does not work, it does have the small 4-pin connector and is connected, it is just a generic brand of power supply

its a generic psu it has a p4 sticker on it

i hear i think 1 beep, it sounds like it normally would on a good computer. i can hear it accessing the hard drive. when i dissconnect all the ide cables i still get nothing on the monitor

i tried taking everything out and and i still dont get anything on the screen. u think it could be that the agp port is messed up on the board?
