So your Locked multiplier is now 16? No luck for me. I reset to the BIOS defaults, rebooted again, and everything is still the same. Have I missed a step? Also I noticed that with the FSB set to 230 or 225, the DDR rate dropped down to 266, so I guess I'll leave it at the default for now.

Even funnier that when I called ASUS tech support they basically blamed it on the CPU (mislabled CPU, bad CPU ID String, etc.). Now, how probable is that?

Thanks for the tip. It works great, although I'm still annoyed that it's not detected correctly in the first place. Hopefully they'll get it fixed in the next BIOS update.

I just got the P4C800 Deluxe, with a P4 3.20E. The BIOS shows it running at 2800 (and Win XP also reports 2.8Ghz). I have updated the BIOS to 1016. Is there a BIOS setting I need to adjust to make the CPU run at it's full speed? Thanks, Peter Franz.
