The Maxtor I am getting is a DiamondMax 10 250gb ATA133 7200rpm, 9.0ms average seeking time, and 16mb buffer. many other great features with it too. Is it still sucks or can a Seagate SATA drive which is 8mb bufer and 8ms seeking time out perform the Maxtor drive above? Both are 250GB.

I tried Intel once and had no success with it. Their cpu is expensive and also can overheat pretty fast, the prescott, which made me having to buy a fast, powerful, and expensive fan and heatsink. Everything about Intel is too expensive, so it is not worth giving it another try. It is fast, but...
