Roger that. Now, is there a "good" number of partitions, and in which size each (40gb HD)? One more, can I set the bios to first boot from the cd-rom, and use installation cd right away (quicker...)?

I'm building a new rig, I want to know how I set up the HDD (I got 40gb maxtor 7200rpm). when the system is new, I don't even have DOS, right (or wrong...)? so where do I set up my new HDD, and how do I do the partitions? are there any limitations for partitions under xp? And finally, how...

I have ga-7vtxh+ mobo (VIA 266A) I want to upgrade memory, and I couldn't figure out if it supports DDR333.. does any one know? thanks.

First of all you are right. microsoft made it a very challanging issue, setting up winfax (a.k.a inbox) on the win98xx OS's. To install it anyway, you need to go to windows98 installation cd, and look for a folder called either old, oldwin, oldwin95 etc. basickly its a folder that has stuff...

I got AXP 1800+ aslo (well I have nothing more to say, just didn't want to be left out :D ) and I LUV it!

with no sound card, take the ga-7vtxh+ its fairly cheap, and preforms very well.. (for me it does anyway), you can read more about it here : ga-vtxh+ it has lan & sound on it, and comes with tones of features like double bios, easy tune (overclocking for newbies..) and more. I say check it out.
