    PSU quality question

Kingwin doesn't have a low end so much as they have older SKUs that they haven't discontinued yet. Their older stuff was pretty mediocre, but the Lazer Gold and Lazer Platinum series are among the best power supplies on the market today.

    PSU quality question

Mediocre FSP unit. It isn't the same as the piece of garbage TR2 RX that Gabe Torres reviewed a year or two ago. After that review even Thermaltake knew they had to revise it. So the TR2 RX Bronze units. They're... better. They can do their rated wattage. But they're still very mediocre and...

PSU "Upgrade" Offered for Free--Should I Take It?

No, the older ModXStreams I believe are FSP Epsilons, and Epsilons of that vintage are pretty meh. The ModXStream Pros I believe are decent Sirfa units. It would be an upgrade in wattage, but a downgrade in performance.

Do i need a single or multi rail Psu...

Single vs. multiple rails is meaningless.

Need help quick, need a cheap and good psu.

Both the CX430 and EA430D are a good deal right now. The Corsair CX430 has significantly less +12V capacity and in comparison is more of a 380W power supply. But it's still pretty solid. And either will be more than enough for the system in question. The BP350 is a cheap FSP build. It works but...

    Power Supply for 6950 Xfire

A 30% "buffer"? Ridiculous. A quality 750W should run 6970 CrossFire (including unlocked 6950) easily.

    Corsair CX430 official review!

The CX430 didn't do 80% efficiency at 430W... It did 79%. Which is probably what the aforementioned PSH situation would result in (maybe 78%).

    Corsair CX430 official review!

And you can pull 850W out of a CWT PSH 750W by overdrawing from the +5V and +3.3V, but that doesn't make it an 850W power supply.

    Corsair CX430 official review!

What, you talkin' 'bout lil' ol' me? ;) It was blown out of proportion, but it's also still overrated. It's a CWT DSAII 380W, end of story, it doesn't have the +12V capacity to be a true 430W. And something is causing it to do worse at 115VAC than at 230VAC, at least from what I saw on the...
