Ryan, thank you for responding. I can certainly understand your position. It is the reviewing acumen that keeps me coming back to this site for reviews and articles.
But I have to disagree with the only apples to apples comparison. In the lab this makes sense and keeps things as you say...
Thanks for the responses. My main point was that for the games I am playing at the moment BFBC2, stalker and Dirt2, all DX11 games and part of Anandtech's bench suite. I cannot tell how my SLI or even one of my cards stacks up against all these great options, as it is not listed, even in...
Put this in the review comments but they are 12 pages long, so not sure if it will be noticed...
Now that it is getting to nearly two years since I brought my graphics cards, a pair of GTX285's, it is starting to get towards the time I am thinking about maybe upgrading to DX11. So I am...

As many of you noted, PowerDVD Ultra decodes DTS-MA to 5.1 discrete channels. On a 7.1 channel audio system the discrete audio encoded for the side...
Thanks for the reply bmaytum. When you say you noticed your MFT usage was high (95%), did you get this result running the win 7 'defrag' command at the command prompt (as I did above) or using another method?
My problem is that the windows 7 native defrag command always says the MFT usage is...
So I have a Logitech mouse where you can use the wheel in free wheel mode. Really like this. So I'm doing file operations in Windows Explorer. I'm selecting multiple files that are not located next to each other, so using ctrl + click and then using the wheel to scroll to my next selection. Then...
Also just found a much quoted mouse optimisation guide here which mentions the 6th notch being best idea. "http://www.overclock.net/computer-peripherals/173255-cs-s-mouse-optimization-guide.html"
But it seems to say that the 6th notch is best because of bugs in Windows XP mouse tracking at...
Great just the kind of discussion I was trying to start. Btw I'm in the turning the windows cursor speed down and DPI up seems more acurate camp.
Also Joshguru7. I don't think thick you would notice much of a difference between 4000 DPI and 5700 DPI mice as the increase in DPI as a factor is...
So always when I read comments and reviews about the recent mice with high DPI's (above 4000) they say 'A DPI that high is useless the cursor and sight in a game move around too fast, you have to turn the DPI down a lot for the speed to be manageable. So there is no point to buying a high DPI...
Sorry if it been reported before, but I noticed something that I think is either a bug or a step backwards in the Windows 7 defrag program. Below is the output of the 'defrag' command run under XP / Vista and then under Windows 7 for the same drive.
XP / Vista
C:\>defrag c: -a -v
Windows...
Who knows maybe you will get more crashes etc.
It must matter some how, else why make two models. It must cost them more to have two models for each wattage than one, different packaging, etc.
Finally these powers supllies are starting to make it into retail (end of next week for the UK, where I am). But according to the Enermax website you have to pick a supply depending on if you are going to run Crossfire or SLI. That's how I read it anyway.
See...
I am trying to find suggestions for video cataloging software but am having no luck searching the internet.
I have tried Acdsee, xnview, Adobe album & infraview all of which have some video functionality.
The closest I have found to what I am after is the video handeling of xnview.
It...
Yes, I do have those kind of plans for the tha 3rd x16 slot, so was interested to see if I could fit full length cards (TV card) into the x1 slot next to the x58 cooler.
