I'm running the 1103 bios, no problems so far. I noticed there is a new bios up there that increases ram compatibility: http://support.asus.com/downlo...e=BIOS&SLanguage=en-us (v1201)

My Corsair XMS2 "value" RAM works fine. I'm ussing DDR2-667 with a E6300 overclocked to 2.3Ghz (333Mhz FSB, RAM @ 333mhz). Friends are using Crucial Ballistix in theirs. I'd say if you go Corsair or Crucial ram you should do alright. Stay away from OCZ and maybe Kingston.

Hey guys, I've got 2gb corsair xms2 DDR2-667 ram. Just wondering what setting in the bios do I need to set to keep the ram locked at 333? I want to run my ram at 1:1 with my cpu fsb. Also I'm running my ram at 1.9v and 4-4-4-12 (rated by corsair to run at that at stock). I saw it mentioned in...

Try removing the jumper on the seagate drive that sets its SATA mode, and see how you go.

Prolly due to lax ram timings. I suggest you run it at a slower clock but tighter timings like I've posted.

aussieburger, I'm running a E6300 & 290FSB. This seems to be the ceiling regardless on what I do with voltages. The ram is set to DDR-533 in BIOS (ram is Corsair VS DDR2-667). RAM = 290Mhz (1:1), 4-3-3-9 2T Sandra B/W Score: I get anywhere between 5460MB/s to 5690Mb/s I found a CL of...

Raikku, thanks for posting about the dividers.. I was wondering where you would set the divider. Didn't realize the memory type pretty much is what sets the divider (tho makes sense). So I was having trouble trying to get to 2ghz with my E6300, regardless on timings, memory voltage etc. So I...

Thanks - tried those settings and so far so good, played a game and system hasn't hardlocked yet. So for those with freezing problems, have a try of those settings. Based on the above settings working for me I suspect this board is really sensitive when it comes to delivering power and if not...

This happened when I just installed WinXP Pro ie fresh install and with updated chipset drivers. I'm running an AGP, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Chipset Drivers: v5.10 ram voltage on high? No, Normal spread spectrum disabled? Yes IDE strength on high? No, Normal latest VIA chipset drivers? Yes.

Ok, my system still hard locks enever that Pipleline option under Advanced Host Config is set to either Enabled/Disabled. Setting it to AUTO does not cause my system to lock up. Core Temps are the same, 50C. Edit: Also just noticed that the system will hard lock after a short while if...

Ok Just installed the v2.1 BIOS. My PC would lockup when I enabled that Pipeline option, thank you for the forum member who discovered this! As I didn't know what was causing my system to hard lock until I read their post. Luckily it appears the 1.9 BIOS seems to disable it by BIOS, as after...
