well, i tried to merge 2 partions and my OC recently became unstable and corrupted my windows install as well, i lost 2 out of 4 partitions, the other 2 are completely fine.

no no, the files are still there, every program reports them being there, it is the MFT that is overwritten and now gone. so the files are there, but the MFT is messed up and can't tell my O/S where they are i am thinking.

does such a thing exist? i need to rewrite it as its gone, tottally gone, even the mirror, 10 gigs of music unaccesible. can anybody help me out?

Ok, it first started with my one partition for mp3's being highly corrupted(75%) and I had very little free disk space(10% free), so I could not run a defrag. So I moved about 3gigs of files to another partition and ran my defrag, everything seemed to go fine. but after i moved all the files...
