    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

This issue was resolved by Micro Center finally, a little while back. Someone on their Facebook page took notice of the issue and took ownership of it personally. I won't reveal their name here unless they want me to, out of respect for their privacy. Micro Center took the motherboard back...

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

I e-mailed corporate (custrel@microcenter.com) on January 13th. I have not heard back from them, and provided them 2 e-mail addresses, and my mobile phone #. They're a black hole.

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

The sticker on my box was covering the flap, pretty evenly spaced 50/50. I can take a picture later, if you'd like.

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

Your initial description is how the straps around the board I got from Fry's were. The box was slightly disfigured from the pressure that the straps put on it. Additionally, there is a return sticker that no one is going to be able to remove without a hell of a lot of work. My point is...

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

I think it was someone, or several people, working on the inside of the store. I got there not more than 3 minutes after the store opened, and that was the first day that they sold any Sandy Bridge hardware, to my knowledge. I don't see how any other person, besides an employee, could have...

    Msi or Asus for P67

Go with Asus. As drives expand beyond 2TB, you'll wish you had. The UEFI firmware and GUID Partition Table (GPT) disk layout are what you'll need to get around this limitation of legacy BIOS and the MBR disk layout.

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

I e-mailed them, and no one has contacted me. I filed the RMA request before that guy posted, and I saw it. Don't jump to conclusions without all the facts.

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

I got an e-mail about the RMA. Here's part of what it says: ------------------- Physical damage is not covered under your ASUS manufacturer’s warranty and automatically VOIDS your warranty. ASUS reserves the right to reject any product received with physical damage. - Damage can include...

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

I paid mostly cash for this transaction, though I plan on charging back the ~$60 on my card. I heard the POST service is free, and I didn't even know they had it. My friend mentioned it to me later on, after I told him about the issues. He said it's $10 BTW. I think the bigger problem here...

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

I think he's probably the person behind @MicroCenter on Twitter. I linked to this forum post on Twitter.

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

Honestly, I'd be happy to help you out with it for free. I would not recommend purchasing ANYTHING from Micro Center, given the lack of product security that they have. As you may have seen in another one of my posts, the motherboard I bought from Fry's the same evening had the following: * A...

    WARNING: Micro Center Motherboard Scam

Yeah, on the HardOCP forums, a bunch of people were complaining about me going back home to get my wallet. I'm still not clear how that turns the argument against me? I left my products at the store so I could get my wallet to come back and pay for the upgraded replacement product? How is that...
