    Raptors okay to overclock?

Hi. I heard that it's not safe to FSB overclock when using SATA hardrives. Is this true? I have an ASUS A8V mobo with a 3000+ Athlon64 which I was hoping to eventually overclock to 2400-2500MHz. I currently have it clocked at 2160MHz (240 x9) with the voltage at 1.456. It's perfectly stable...

    Anandtech sold out?

Ok. I also doubt AT sold out to NuTech. That is besides the point (please look past the sensasionalist title, it's simply a means to get your attention). The point that I was trying to bring up is that the NuTech drive has no redeeming qualities minus it's 6 dollar, (cough), advantage. But month...

I am refining my e-mail to Wes right now. Thanks for posting on the article CH.

    Anandtech sold out?

Now just for fun. I would like to analyze the articles reasoning for recommending the nutech drive. Here is the relevant excert: "For a few months there, NEC's 2500A was a pretty hot buy for those who wanted a sort of cheap stopgap between today's 8X DVD+/-RW technology and tomorrow's 16X...

    Anandtech sold out?

Dave. The title is a sensasionalist. I apologies for that. Nevertheless, I'm on my second run with this drive and although it's functioning well. It still is underperforming. Also, in the original review of this burner, it's suggested that AT went out and bought this drive on their own (at least...

    Anandtech sold out?

Here's my comment on the article: I generally believe that AT does a great job at putting forth excellent recommendations, but there is one recommendation in this article that is simply ridiculuos. I am talking about recommendation of the NuTech DDW-082 burner. This burner has been recommended...

    Anandtech sold out?

If you concurr that the Nutech drive is a piece of crap, please take the time to post a comment in the mid-range buyers guide article. I would hate for AT to become a sell out industry fanboy site like cnet. I know that is a bit of a stretch, but ya never know.

    Anandtech sold out?

Read speeds are also awful with the Nutech model. It takes 12 minutes to read a dvd movie on to my hard drive. But with my regular old dvd drive it only takes 8 minutes to read the same movie. (Using anydvd/copydvd combo)

    Anandtech sold out?

Perhaps. But I just find it difficult that anyone could recommend this drive above the NEC 2510A. Just a quick peek at newegg would reveal the popularity of the nec over the nutech model. I guess I am a little upset that I took Anandtech's recommendation and purchased a NuTech DDW-082 burner...

    Anandtech sold out?

I just finished reading the mid-range buyers guide at Anandtech and I am shocked that they continue to recommend the Nutech DDW-082 burner. Thier argument is that the burner is cheap, but the far superior NEC ND-2510A is only 6 bucks more! Plus, the NEC drive supports Dual Layer burns, whereas...
