    Partition size for VISTA ?

SimMike2, My main drive is 320GB, and I'm running an E6400 @3.2 / 2gb ram, x1900xtx etc etc etc on an ASUS p5b dlx wi-fi. That plenty fast. I am trying to determine what size of primary partition, my C drive, would be best to host Vista, while keeping in mind that I want to limit that...

    Partition size for VISTA ?

postmortemIA , I've never heard that one before.... By your logic, partitions themselves make no sense with perhaps the exception of hosting alternate OS's. The c drive in my case is a small partition of a large hard drive. The main aps on E, the very next partition are in reality on...

    Partition size for VISTA ?

What would be the ideal partition size for an install of VISTA Ultimate? My XP Pro partition is 16Gb and I have 7.5GB free. I usually install major programs (Office, Photoshop etc etc) on a secondary partition. C:\ usually only has the OS and all drivers and utilities. How much space...

    512mb x1950pro or 256mb x1950xt?

I myself am in somewhat of a quandary too. I bought and received a HIS x1900XT 256MB with it's great HSF. Before I bought it the x1950 pro had just come out and after seeing the benchmarks I felt that the slight premium in price was worth moving to the 256mb XT. Just after I got the card I...

    Where are the X1950XT reviews?

The HIS ICEQ3 version would be the best, with a quiet HSF that blows hot air out of the case, and better overclocking potential.

Strategy to decide on RAM ?

Hi all, I have an E6400 and just ordered a P5B deluxe WiFi. Ram is expensive these days so I don't want to get the wrong kind especially with soooo many options out there. My idea is to get a cheap stick of PC2-5400 /667MHz. Then run big dividers on it and see how high I get my...
