Non gaming laptop with desktop grade cpu

Think about cooling, not just CPU Your current i5 5200u is dual core+ht+2.2(2.7turbo) I7 6700 desktop is quad core+ht+3.4(4.00 turbo) Dual to quad, 2.2 to 3.4, you should see that your desktop is 3 times faster than your laptop? (Ignoring CPU generation improvements) I7 6700hq (laptop ) is...

Laptop a good choice? Dell E5470

I own a e5470. You got a dual core i5; there are options for quad core i5/i7 on this (but can't combine quad core with dgpu) With dgpu, you may not have space for wwan slot or 2.5" slot, only one single m.2/pcie 2280 Go fully read this thread too...

    Buying Laptop on Ebay

Might I suggest looking at the recent Atoms/Core M processors? You can definitely find a Asus T100 for $150 on eBay. fewer upgrade options (fixed memory/ssd), but they are capable, newer(far more battery efficient/faster and lighter)...

there are more options (a lot more low/mid range phones) since you're not american original link I had required LTE bands 2/4... Removing those requirements, yo have more choices go play around. think canada uses a mixture of 12/17, 13, 4, 7, depends on your provider...

using US cell phones in Europe

seems to be this here: http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Euro3 three things to note: also, your phones may be using nano (or micro or fullsize) SIM. most modern prepaid cards come 3-in-1 (card can break off into any of those sims), but just verify this fact. you should also bring...

Looking for smallish phone with modern SoC

att/tmobile/gsm? if it's verizon or sprint, you have almost zero choices (verizon, maybe able to get z3compact to work data only) (gsmarena has a phone finder, i've selected >2014 phones, max 130 height, LTE 2/4, android with touchscreen)...

using US cell phones in Europe

http://www.verizonwireless.com/plans/travelpass-countries/ just make sure your countries are included in Verizon's travelpass program, and your plan qualifies (recent enough plan like "MORE EVERYTHING", not a grandfathered unlimited plan) (it's $5/day in Brazil or Spain during august)

using US cell phones in Europe

your verizon iPhone 6 is unlocked, and will work with any prepaid European sim (if you go that route) your iPhone has pretty good support in europe (just missing LTE band 38 in europe, has support for 3G/most LTE bands). your iPhone LTE (A1549) specs...

Cheapest "data only: plan - dont need calls or texts

um,that's the definition of PAYG plans. pay-as-you-go... anyways, ringplus is good to use if you know the limits *not business critical, can go out of busines any time, don't be too attached to the phone number, need sprint-compatible phone, no simultaneous voice+data at same time, ads/proxy...

Do cases w/ USB 3.1 exist yet?

what kind of type-C are you looking for? just data transfer, or charging? type-C has different power delivery profiles (PD Profiles), you need to look into this as well (max is 100W @ 20V/5A i think...) nexus 6p would need 15W @ 5V/3A, macbook would want 29W (14.5V/2A), which is a strange combo

remote view or ext monitor for dslr?

do you use focus peaking? no evf? I've had cameras with built-in wifi (RX100 IV, QX10, Fujifilm XP90, LG 360cam). the wifi connection can sometimes be laggy, depends on multiple factors (wifi chip/antenna on camera, surrounding environment on wifi interferences etc). don't rely on it There...

    Best email provder

that's the idea - provide a much better, free product, low friction (dont have to enter password to decrypt email all the time, or sign emails with PGP key) have users come to you and you use them for other stuff (advertising, training for TTS/translation/AI/...) and then cyanogen inc has...

microSD SD card vs USB adapters, same thing?

well, i say "again" because I keep seeing this mess... hate/blame SD for this. wonder if my head will explode if they came out with UHS-III bus speed sorry if it sounded rude and they decided to "extend" UHS Speed class to Video speed class V6 (which no one really cares about), V10, V30...
