running two PCI-Express cards NOT in SLI

My primary pci-e slot has an ATI RadeonX800XL in it, running two monitors. I was under the impression you could have to pci-e cards not in SLI, so I got a MSI NX6200TC card to run a third monitor. Installed the drivers but the monitor only displays the infamous "Cannot Display This Video Mode"...

Marvell Yukon Gigabit controller won't work after got new motherboard

I RMAd my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe board after my second problem with the chipset fan. They sent a new one. The system works exactly as it used to . . . except for some reason Windows says the Marvell Yukon Gigabit ethernet controller has no driver. I've tried autoninstalling and manually installing...

Windows Installer Doesn't Recognize New SATA HD on Asus A8V board

I just built a new computer on a relatively old motherboard (an Asus A8V). I planned to install XP Pro on one of two Western Digital 250 GB Sata Retail disks I bought. At first the disks wouldn't even pass POST, but then I set the jumper to 5-6 to lock it at 150 MB/s like the Asus support...

Need a challenge? Try and solve this problem . . .

Ok, here we go: All my USB ports simultaenously died, including the expansion ones on the board (A8n-SLI Deluxe, Asus). The most I can get is for a mouse or keyboard to flicker its power light for a second, and then it goes down. The PS/2 keyboard port works fine in BIOS, Knoppix, and Bart...

Sorting out my new RAID 0 configuration

I used partition magic to extend the partition to the full 148 GB and am now re-imaging the array with Ghost. No "span to end of volume" option was given in Ghost 9.0. Think this will work?

Sorting out my new RAID 0 configuration

Ghost showed one disk. As for spanning the entire volume, I'm nost sure.

Sorting out my new RAID 0 configuration

And oh yeah, device manager shows and unkown device, not totally sure if it's related though.

Sorting out my new RAID 0 configuration

Here's what I did: I had a regular 74 GB raptor that has been my primary hard drive for a while. I just bought a second. I configured them in BIOS with RAID 0 and then I used Norton Ghost to put on image of the first disk on the new RAID Array. Windows doesn't understand exactly what has...

    Authentication on Unencrypted WLANs

<Plus you can't just manually configure an IP address. The wireless system simply will not allow it. The address must be configured with DHCP.> mac and countermeasure issues aside, why not? what's the difference between one user receiving an ip through dhcp, and another user typing in the ip...

    Authentication on Unencrypted WLANs

That's interesting spidey, thanks for your help. Yeah there's a security certificate, one of those standard public key ones for ecrypting the password, that's all. Most of your objections seem to assume a sophisticated system. If it was less secure, and for example, had areas that only one...
