Maybe i will buy the videocard now and CPU later when i have the money. But which CPU should i buy? Can i get a good one for about 250 dollars?

I have Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz and as a video card MSI AMD Radeon 7770 1Ghz Edition i tought i would upgrade my video card to gtx 970 sc, would i get a huge fps boost in games or would my CPU not let me get that boost?
