    Suggested MP3 Player?

What about Rio's products? EDIT: Friend of mine has the rio nitrus, I was impressed by it. Though, you have to use Rio's software (which isn't bad) to transfer music. The 2GB+ models have drag and drop. List of Rio's hard drive based players.

Really fustrating problem with my net connection.. or something to do with it!

HA! I found the "problem". When I disabled MAC filtering, not only is everything faster, but I don't get that error. Is this a trade off with using mac filtering or is my router crap?

Would you date someone if they smoked weed.

ha.. yea so would I. I wouldn't care at the begining or/and if the relationship never got serious, but if it did, it would annoy me.

    Nintendo's Next console......a Revolution update.

I'd like to see conventional wired connectivity as well. None the less, it will be online and if it's only wireless, then so be it. There are some things to keep in mind, like how many NR's can play a game on a 54Mbs connection? It would be nice to see Gigabit ethernet on it :D yes, perhaps a...

    Nintendo's Next console......a Revolution update.

God knows that when Nintendo uses a name like "Revolution" one has to worry. *cough*virtual boy*cough* Having said that, I don't agree with GC or N64 being a failure. Nintendo is still made and making a profit and unless that becomes untrue, the big N isn't getting out of the hardware...

    Really strange annoyence/freakiness

Bare with my little rant: OK, so I'm sitting here, working on some stuff, I've got Illustrator, Photoshop, WMP, Firefox, Thunderbird, word, Dreamweaver, a couple of folders open and a few msn windows. Well, I'm working away, and all of a sudden I hear, out of my speakers "Ready?" said...

Really fustrating problem with my net connection.. or something to do with it!

I'll have to try that. Though why would it affect my connection through ethernet and not through wifi ? I've restarted the router (since I know I haven't for a while) to see if that fixes the issue. The exact error : "www.anandtech.com could not be found. Please check the name and try...

Really fustrating problem with my net connection.. or something to do with it!

dang it. got carried away with my rant. DSL connection (4Mbps down, 1Mbps up) and a MS wireless g router (don't ask). The computer is wired though. I'd have to double check, but I believe I don't have this problem with the laptop.

Really fustrating problem with my net connection.. or something to do with it!

Ok, here the annoyance (which at this point has gone BEYOND) I'll be surfing my merry way and either i stumble on to a site, receive a url from a friend or just type in one I visit often (like anandtech.com) and BAM i get the "oh no, i cant' find www.anandtech.com" or whatever. So I site...

Dual Monitors or one big monitor?

Well this is going a bit over board but it's nice to dream :P What would you need (besides $$$$) to run: 1 x 23" LCD Display paired with 2 x 17" display? Not that I have the funds for that right now but after reading up and considering I'll be using it to watch movies as well as play...

Dual Monitors or one big monitor?

If you're using digital panels, dVI is the way to go. I think ATI also had a dual dvi card, though i haven't seen it for sale as of yet.

Dual Monitors or one big monitor?

so, in your experience, dual monitors work better ? See, I would have an 19" monitor if it wasn't for the 1280x1024 res. Thus, if i was to get dual lcds, i'd get dual 21" for the 1600x 1200 res. Now, 2 21" lcds cost the same as 1 23" lcd and cost about the same. Though the dual 21" will get...

Dual Monitors or one big monitor?

So basically, if you're working with one program that requires a large workspace (or could always use), the single largre monitor is better then a dual setup. Thus, if i'm having to have 2 or more windows/programs open at once, at dual setup would be more effective ? I agree with the pros...

Dual Monitors or one big monitor?

Multi monitor has ALWAYS been the choice for a workstation, but now that 23" or even 30" lcd are at a "relatively" cheap, would it not be more economic to get one of those instead of 2 19" ? + Wouldn?t you get same workflow benefit as 2 monitors ? I know this is a question of personal...
