Thanks, i'll try that. You're saying that the psu is perfectly fine? I forgot to say in the first post that i tried my psu with another working pc (same hardware, friend of mine got same rig as me) and it did the same thing it does on mine...

Let me try to explain this correctly: The pc powers up, but doesnt POST, all the fans are running and the DVDRW makes noises as well as the HDD, but no signal in the monitor. Only after i shut down entirely the pc (by pressing down the power button 5 secs and then flipping the psu switch)...

i'll look further, which psu is good but is cheaper tham the antec? i mean, if it exists, which psu is like the intel e4xxx or the mb im getting (msi p35 neo2 fr), cheap parts but but very good ones? edit: i founf ocz and thermaltake, but they're more expensive than the antec... still looking...

Excelent post, thank u very much 4 this. Found very interesting what u said bout the optical drive. But talking about noise and fans, dont u use rubber pads and rubber bolts 4 the fans? what do u think about them?

thanks marc and jonny, i get the thing with the temps now. I can get the earthwatts, but HERE it costs me $125, and if i could pay that i'd get the truepower trio 550w with the 12cm fan... the thing is that i dont know if i could get 125 to spend in a psu... it costs almost 2 times the cm...

I need help picking out my power supply because i live in uruguay so most brands dont even know where it is. I'm between the coolermaster extreme 500w 70% eff and dual 12v rails and maybe an antec truepower trio 430w, but this antec costs me here 40U$S more than the cooler master making me...

i consider the e4500 a very good cpu, achieves 3.2ghz with stock cooling a voltages with 2mb cache, but i'd consider the 7xxx series that will cost the same as the 4xxx series but 45nm so it will oc much more... And the p45 chipset will be out then i guess... I know coz i'm waiting 4 that to get...

The MSI card will be out in January, it comes with aluminum fins but so is the accelero s1 and it's great. The card with the accelero s1 attached is the ECS nx8800gt 512mxdt

But if this card has the Zalman vf700 and the MSI has the Zalman vf1000... I think that clearly the MSI is a better card than this one... And then you have the ECS with the accelero and the option to 120mm fan

Please post about temps when u get it and if you can control the fan like the stock one. I dont know wich 8800+aftermartket cooler to buy! ECS+accelero, MSI+vf1000, palit+zalman...

Thank for the replies, i live in Uruguay so some brands are nearly impossible to get here, i like the corsair because it has 12cm fan to keep things quiet... i'll see if i can get it here, or in argentine. What do you mean with 20-30c continous? celsius degrees? that's hot for a psu?
