resolved my problem. in the raid bios manager, had to change boot load option to disable. this wasnt a problem on my old msi p965 mobo, but apparently was on the new asrock....

I have a 3ware 9650 and am struggling mightily to get windows to boot with the card plugged into an Asrock P67 Extreme4. To install windows7 64bit to a 128gb crucual c300 SSD, I had to unplug the raid card. With the raid card in, windows would not install. (EDIT: sorry didn't realize this...
