i think this anti-mentor you speak of isn't an "anti" anything, if you are learning a lesson from someone else's failure's they are still techincally "mentoring" you, you are just learning from their personal life experience.
icky mis. eh, just go off on random stuff. I usually find tech writing to be easy once I get started, warcleric had a very good idea. Analyze some of the current issues dealing with bluetooth and 802.11b ie which is being more rapidly adopted why, the pros and cons of each, costs etc etc...

i am in the land of boredom myself. nothing worse than having a crappy computer lab job, a 6 hour shift of this makes you want to blow your brains out. oh well, back to scripting on the openbsd box.
