How about this question, should I partition and format the drive using win 98 startup disk and then install win2k or delete all partitions and let win2k partition the drive if thats possible? thanks

that doesnt realy help bt thanks. anone know what the message "unknow flash type" means, this apears right after the info screen at boot up (just before windows is suposed to begin loading)?

The problem is whenever I try to do a clean install of windows it loads the drivers and when "starting windows..." i get a session5_initialization_failed stop error. I'm thinking its because of the ata 100, I tried disabeling udma in the bios and put all drives to pio4 but still no...
