Things are looking better after a reformat and a bios clear. I'm at 4904 and no viruses shown using my school's NAV client. It hasn't reset yet and I'm leaving my box on top of my desk just so that it won't restart on me lol. Thanks for all your help

But no reason as to why programs would just close huh? I'm lost and I don't know what to do. I could just buy all new stuff but my wallet doesn't want to do that right now, especially because I have pretty decent components. Thanks for the suggestions though
Unless you need to force the molex in with something like a vice...? I plugged it in as far as I could and it doesn't give me trouble with 3d in particular. It's indiscriminate as to what I'm doing. Sometimes it just feels like restarting.
I was reading on one forum that it may have been...
reinstalled via, took care of that problem; I'm probably going to have to post a new thread but when I was trying to run 3dmark the computer kept shutting off or closing the program. I was guessing it was closing it because of a trojan, but when I unplugged my internet connection the computer...
Hi all,
I've tested my 6800GT in someone else's computer and they get 4900 3dmarks in 3dmark05. I get around 2800. I have an AMD64 2800+ with an Asus K8V-X mobo (sckt754). My friend has an Abit board scket 939 with an AMD64 3000+. Both are running not so great ram, I've only got Mushkin basic...
I guess I'm kinda hosed now because they are really into this system. I suppose I could give them my 5200 ultra if the "card" (gfx chip) is going to be this unmanageable. I'm wondering if the GF 4 MX onboard video had T&L because my sister is playing Sims 2 with only 64mb, just not sure if it's...
T6410 is an emachine (3200+ A64 with 512 ram) She's moving from a Pentium 133 so ANYTHING is an improvement. I wanted to make sure that the onboard gfx will be able to run Sims 2 decently well. Since the 128mb from the Radeon x200 is shared that takes away from the system. The min requirements...
Hi all,
I've picked this machine out for my little cousin who likes to play the sims 2 and will more than likely be growing up with this machine from a while. They like the price (grandmother and mother), and they are moving up from a 133 with 64mb ram... I know that this is going to be much...
Any information about that UPS having a connected power warranty? The only one I'm seeing on APC's site is $250. I'm guessing the warranty is what costs so much, $250k. But I can help but think that a warranty like that is a good thing.
I would think so. I could be wrong but:
I have an A400 Winfast 6800GT. My harddrives would sag so bad with my old Sparkle 350W that it would take an extra 30 seconds to boot up. The harddrives would completely spin down and wait before starting to spin up again.
Leadtek suggested a...
For what it's worth just be sure that if you are working with magnetically shielded speakers, to know that they are definitely magnetically shielded. My CRT freaked out with Klipsch ProMedia 4.1s and they swore to me up and down that they were magnetically shielded... I don't know what the heck...
Funny you mention cost:

I'm a s s uming that you are a student? 40 bucks is pretty decent for a desk like that. It's a bit too small for me but the price is right.
