Does anyone know if there is a fix for Overclocking settings being reset when monitor comes out of suspend/off powersave mode? Running gainward ti450 and Ram clocks keep setting back to 450mhz when monitor is woken back up out of powersave mode. is their a fix, or new drivers that correct this...

    Gainward Ti200 G Sample - How should I overclock?

There's obviously a difference w/ the ram between 64meg & 128 meg - the 64meg has faster ram! (wish that was more obvious when buying, heh). I have been getting 3dmarkSE of around 5500-5900 w/ my old t-bird 1.0ghz and sdram w/ card clocked at 235/495, using 27.42 drivers, no AA, 32bit color, no...

    Gainward Ti200 G Sample - How should I overclock?

I have that exact card, and don't subscribe to the rubber band analogy. Those things are supposed to be tested first anyways. Mine's running at 235/495 no problems, I'm gonna slap a fan right above it to blow cool air on it in from the side of the case, and hopefully go higher. I would crank...

Crystal orb mount on motherboard easy? Blue orb or crystal orb?

hey wa261, was checking out those case pics and have a tech question for ya: How'd you get that 80mm fan mounted on that that sk6? looks real sharp! (kickass rig, by the way - what's up w/ that power supply? :0)

What is the best quiet fan?

If you don't want to mess around w/ the 80 mm on the angle, you might want to check out papst fans - they're pretty quiet, not sure if they'll have the airflow you're used to though.

    Fan Question

I concur. The problem is this: the fan only pushes 29.5cfm (which is weak for an 80 mm anyway), and this is compounded by the 80mm to 60mm adapter. When the fan is trying to push the air through the smaller hole of the adapter, it doesn't have enough push to get an effective airflow, the air...

    Where to find Papst fans?

Yes, they are quiet, and very good quality. Therefore, you will pay a little more for them. I use one of thier 60x25mm on my sk6 heatsink, and it performs very nicely. try: www.coolbreez.com - they carry the 60x25mm or www.so-trickcomputers.com has a LOT of papst fans - just about every size.

    gainward Geforce3 ti450 64 or 128

I have a ti450 128 and can confirm there isn't much a performance difference. However, you might need the memory down the line when newer games are out. But by that point, you can get a 4200.

GeForce2 GTS worth the upgrade to GeForce3 Ti200?

WHY get a videocard w/128 megs of ram? BECAUSE IT HAS 128 MEGS OF RAM! duh. Besides, it was like 20 dollars more, just for the bragging rights, it's worth it. AND eventually that 128 megs will come in handy, either for resale value, or when games actually need that much. I'll take every edge i...

cooling a Gainward GF3Ti450 - stock or no?

Hey all, Just got a Gainward Gf3 Ti450 golden sample 128 meg and can o/c it pretty nice: 234 core/494 memory. Thing is, once you hit 240/500 artifacts (white points, some flickering) show up. I KNOW some of these cards o/c like mad, so I'm wondering if I'm being hindered by the stock Gainward...

GeForce2 GTS worth the upgrade to GeForce3 Ti200?

I just made that very upgrade (visionteck geforce2 gts to Gainward GeForce3 Ti450 128 meg. The performance increase was obvious. Take running 1024x768 at 32 bit color with all the anti aliasing and all aniostropy you want and STILL get insane framerates. Can even crank it up to 1600 and it's...
