Good Story. Selling your computer stuff on ebay.

Well, I did check out his history. He had a perfect feedback rating of 88 until just today when a bunch of negative came in about him bidding insane amounts on items and not paying. Sounds like an account hijacking to me.

Well, if I hadnt just gotten screwed on ebay maybe I should have listed with heatware... problem is Ebay does reach a huge number of potential buyers, which most auction sites cant claim.

Good Story. Selling your computer stuff on ebay.

You know. After this experience I doubt I will ever sell something on ebay again. So I listed my notebook on ebay, figuring selling it would help ease the cost of the desktop I was building to replace it. Well after a week of sorting through spam scam email trying to rip me off, I had a...

Ok, so finalizing my order to newegg for new computer.

Cool, thanks for all the feedback guys, you all rock. I'm sure I'll be back online when I get my new rig up and running. I am somewhat wavering between the Thermaltake Armor and the newer Thermaltake Eureka. But I would think the Eureka would have better airflow.

Damn newegg's selection of X1900XT is poor as hell.... all they have are crossfire cards.. Will crossfire effect the performance of the card?

Hrmm, a X1900XT and not an XTX? I suppose with only 1280x I shouldnt go overboard and just save my money for a 8800 but damn who knows if I will have the money then. I'll look into the reviews for the x1900XT and see what they say.

Well, since I cant go SLI, I suppose I could go back to ATI, I dunno, I just always kind of wanted to try out Nvidia.. and they do seem to be doing nicely.

I play all the major FPS's, I have a 1280x1024 native resolution LCD Monitor. So 1280x1024 is my maximum resolution. I play World of Warcraft, Oblivion, and any major release for the most part. RIght now I have a p4 3.4ghz, 2 gig DDR400, and a radeon 9700 256mb, so I know It will be a huge...

Yeah, I want to overclock. I mean I just like to fiddle with things. As for the swiftech HSF, the DS3 chipset runs hot doesnt it? Wouldnt it be better to have good cooling on the chipset? I guess the real question is how big of a difference overclocking is going to make. I want to bump this...

    Asus p5b deluxe vs. p5b-e vs p5dw DH vs. gigabyte p965 ds3 vs. g965 ds3

Well, if I had to make recommendations, you dont really need to worry to much about overclocking if you dont plan on doing any gaming or heavy stuff. Why would you need to overclock? The intergrated graphics board will work fine for what you want to do it sounds like. Dont worry about...

    Can I use DDR2 1066 in the Gigabyte DS3?

I was looking at some corsair XMS2 DDR2 1066 and was wondering, since the DS3 says it only supports up to DDR2 800, is it ok to put DDR2 1066 in it to increase overclocking headway?

Is it ok to put DDR2-800 in a DDR2-667 rated motherboard? And why?

right, but why would you? Is there sny benifit? Especially when you look at the price of DDR2 667 being cheaper.
