I agree, having that widescreen is more usefull than most people think. Id take a 6000 over a 600m ANY day, especially with the WUXGA screen (1920x1200 res) See sig for config.. heh, that rhymes... Portability and no games = 700m or that hp DV1000, games AND portability = 6000D games and...

If you have a WUXGA screen, why in the world are you running it at 1680x1050, you should be running it at 1920x1200. THEN adjust the font if you cant stand it. Personally, i like mine at 96dpi at 1920x1200...even without my glasses on.

My WUXGA screen is just fine. Excellent in my opinion actually. If you want teh glossy affect...theres some thing you can put on the screen to make it look shiny....i forgot what they are called....some screen protector thingy.

Why has Toshiba gone down the crap hole lately? My father has had 3 Toshiba laptops and they all worked ok for about 3 months and then crapped out..then got himself an HP and then later a Dell...and he's been fine ever since.

Im still looking for price point.....for 2000 US you can get one hell of a laptop that would fit everything he could possibly need, seeing as how he knows very little about computers. And personally, i think docking stations are a waste of time for college, you only really need one for work...

I have the TruePower 430 watt too with my P5GD1 board that has a 24pin connector...it powers the board alright, yet my video card the x800xt requires a lot of juice, and without the adapter to the card it woundnt boot. I still dont have a 20-24 pin adapter, but i did find the 2x4pin to 6pin...

My i6000d from dell isnt high end at all, yet it has an upgradable video card. However, mine is as fast as it can go at the moment....i want an x700 or x800 :(
