DVD-Rom drive scratching disks?

i cant help too much, but if you have only one hard drive, I think it should work better as Primary Slave. I'm not too sure though...

Geforce 2 cards, what's the best?

I thought that Asus has a good GeForce2 MX400 card, especially for overclocking, it has a heatsink. Anand has an article on the VisionTek GeForce2 MX, and on the Asus V7100/T, they are from last year, so prices are cheaper and you can get more memory with them.

OCing PIII 700E and Asus GeForce2, your opinions?

I am going to upgrade to a PIII 700E, Slot 1, on a MSI BXMaster (440 BX) and comtemplating also getting an Asus GeForce2 Pro Pure MX400. The motherboard's FSB can go up in increments of about 2 MHz starting from 66 up to 155. The 700E could get me to a Gigahertz, if I'm lucky... My 64 MB of RAM...
