whats the fuss to have c2d over x2? I mean x2 is a bit slower but its cheaper and therefore it doesnt have a worse price/performance ratio. (correct me if I am wrong here).
I mean I see many ppl on these boards having x2 rigs, why is that?
hey just a question I have never overclocked my pc parts before but to overclock do you just go into your motherboard menu when starting the computer and change the speed of the cpu setting there or something?

can someone tell me what steppings are? I was planning to get a gaming pc that is not too expensive and I came across a system with the opteron 165. Is the opteron 165 around teh same kind of level as x2s and c2ds?
is opeteron really good for oc? Is it dual core or is it like athlon fx which is single core? I think opteron was released a lot earlier than the x2's right?
