That did nothing. My hard drives still are not recognized unless I put them in my external usb casing.

I have taken out the battery, and then I took out the jumper, then put the battery in but kept the jumper out and restarted. After it beeped at me fairly violently, I put the jumper back in and restarted again.

Sadly, there is no "auto detect drives" option. I have set it to optimized settings and that solved nothing. Thanks for trying though. I'll take anything I can get.

So I just updated the bios on my d865PERL mobo and I was just wondering, is it supposed to not recognize hard drives? I was on my xp, and I downloaded the bios update from Intel.com and I'm positive that it was the correct one, and then I restarted and lo and behold it doesn't recognize my hard...
