I have Sandra 2004 and with 10x and 1T @ 255 Mhz fsb x4 HTT I got ~7,100 / 6950
I also pushed my fsb up to 266 @ 2T x10 (2.66 GHz) and got 6300 / 6100.
Benchmarkwise I see very little performance difference betwen 2550 and 2600. I also had to bump the vCore voltage to 1.450 in bios to run...
The modded bios allows greater voltage adjustment and contains all the fixes in the GA 1.41 bios. It also has a few of the hidden menu items showing by default. Overall it is a big improvement over 1.30.
What voltages are you currently running. I am running on air too, but I cannot get...
Orange, have you seen an appreciable difference in setting 1T vs. 2T? Also, how about 7 vs 10, again have you seen a difference. @ 250 MHz I've not seen anyone demonstrate a difference even in the Sandra benchmarks.
I have not tried it with 1T. Memory bandwidth is around 6300, so I have not tried making the timing any tighter.
I will say that I kept reading that everyone was getting 2-2-2-5 to work @ 250+ with the OCZ Plat. Rev 2, but I was not. 2.5-3-3-7 is fine by me at 250.
I bought it from...
I edited my post to include the heatsink.
I should have asked if any of you Neo2 Plat owners have experienced problems with the voltage in bios saying one thing and the core center software showing something different. For example, bios is set to vCore 1.475 (I know, it is high) and core...
I'm just curious what everyone is running for bios version, memory settings and timings with the MSI K8N Neo2 Plat motherboards.
I have:
CPU: A64 3500+ 90nm
Heatsink: Thermaltake Venus 7 (Hey, it was cheap)
Bios: 1.41mod
Memory Brand: OCZ PC3200 Rev. 2 Plat
Memory Timings: 2.5-3-3-10 /...
Also LyNX, be sure to disconnect power, clear cmos (and put the jumper back), then reconnect power. The manual says that the insertion of cards, etc during the build process can cause problems, so you need to completely disconnect power, etc. to get the chipset into the proper state. Good...
LyNX,
I have the new 90nm 3500+ and this board -- got it two weeks ago from zipzoom. I had the exact same problem you did, but what I discovered is that I FORGOT to plug in the little 4 pin power connector on the motherboard. Once that was plugged in (in addition to the normal ATX power...
I'm upgrading my radiator from 5x7x1 w/ 3/8" od to 6x6x2 w/ 1/2" od. While I have everthing apart I am wondering if it will be beneficial to add water wetter (Redline) or if it is a waste of time and money. One poster here said silicon tubing absorbs any additives. I've never heard that, but...
Here is ATI's helpful response:

Ok will try the removal suggestions. I did not realize the Dets where that tough to get rid of.
Also, I benched my system at 1024x768x32b and w/ default aa and aniso settings and get 12600 on 3D Mark 2001 SE w/ fsb at 137 MHz.
What are the specs on your system? Mine are listed above.
I just used the Add/Remove feature of Nvida drivers.
I'm using the drivers that came with the card -- 6143. I have dl'ed the 6159 drivers, but not installed yet. I saw someone who had a blocky sky in q3 and some other problems and the ATI folks over at www.rage3d.com told him to rma it as...
