Ah I see. Well my friend, once you go into the dark side (SCSI :) all sorts of problems can occur especailly if you mix different connections up like IDE etc... So that is why I ask if any one knows if SCSI and SATA is any better.
Here's a question for you guys. I want to run a 15K rpm SCSI drive for my OS and apps and have SATA drives (as SCSI drives are so expensive) for storage and things. Can they work together without problems? I have heard problems relating to SCSI and IDE drives but I am wondering if SATA drives...
I just bought an Antec 4 Unit rackmount case with 550 watt power supply to house my new system but the documentation or lack of has really confused me. I don''t even know where to begin with this one. I have 3 hard drives ready to be installed but I don't know how they are suppose to mount...
Ok, so if I decide that I want a RAID setup later down the road its better to install the drivers now even though none is currently present right and basically, performance or stability wil; not be affected should the drivers be installed?
I will be getting an Asus A8N SLI with 2 drives but will not be connected via RAID so will I need to install the RAID drivers during the installation of XP?
Thanks guys, now moving on...
I will be getting an Asus A8N SLI board. If I don't connect the drives via RAID will I still need to install the RAID drivers with a fresh install of WINXP? (pressing F6 during install)

Oh Damn, That really sucks. I don't suppose there is any way around this?
I suppose it wouldn't be all that diificult as I will have the system in an Antech 4 unit rackmouint case which will be sitting near by anyway, or perhaps I will need to re-think this out.
Ok here is something I need to know before I go ahead and buy a SLI board. I will be using this new system for 2 purposes. First and primarily for audio engineering and secondly for playing games :-P
Now for my audio projects, I will need 4 monitors running. For game play I will want SLI...
