    You could use xse to send keys to mplayer. e.g: $ xse -window MPlayer '<KeyPress>p' would pause mplayer

    dpad with linux?

    I run it under linux with wine. It works fine, but it's about 20% slower compared with running it under windows. Also the automatic sending doesn't work, but there's a linux version of the manualsend program.

    dial-in RAS (remote access) is probably enabled on that machine so it gets two addresses. One for the NIC and the other for RAS server. see here
