    q9550 to replace e8400

Hi all let me explain, I currently have a C0 version of E8400, I used to run it overclocked at 3.82 but it has been unstable recenlty so I have had to drop it down to 3.7 stable (1.38), this processor will NOT go any further even with a huge voltage shoved into it. So what I am thinking is...

    Interference on Powecolor 4870 X2

I still think it is driver related, hang in there and see what they come up with. Also going back to an inferior card isn't easy, i tried rolling back to a GTX280 and it just seemed so slow in comparision!

    Interference on Powecolor 4870 X2

Yeah sure here is the thread http://futuremark.yougamers.co...showthread.php?t=88859 But i would hold on a bit as i think this is a driver issue that the will fix, and i went back to a GTX280 and was really surprised how much grunt the HD4870X2 had compared to it, it's a fantastic card...

    Interference on Powecolor 4870 X2

The card isn't faulty I have been through 2 cards (Sapphire and Powercolor) and they have both done the same thing. I don't get it on desktop though but it is there in COD4 especially when looking at a dark wall or something, it goes when I switch Vsync on, also on the main menu in crysis I get...

Lokan: thanks for your help, i have updated the firmware of the DVD burner to the latest version, I agree about the different disks being detected at diffferent speeds by the burner, so I will try it out with some other brands of dvds. As for the SATA setup, I have found that having both...

GA-965P-DS3 and Samsung SATA DVD RW low write speed

Have updated the drivers and no change. it's strange cause the maximum CD writing is 48x but the maximum anything with dvd is 2.4x I am going to try moving both drives over to the orange (intel) ports now.
