I am looking at something around $2,000 +- a little bit. The old one is just a little more than 7 months old. 1 GB RAM, 80 GB disk 2.4 GHZ P4 - haven't made up my mind how much it would be worth.

I am sick of my Compaq Presario 2571US. It's noisy and also produces lots of heat. I am ready for something better. Any recommendations on a light weight laptop that does weigh a ton, is not as noisy and does not produce that much heat? I am looking at 6 lbs or less and a 14 inch screen size...
