new problem, everytime audio is played the first 2 seconds are cut off. In winamp you can see the graphic equalizer moving but no sound fir the first 2 sec. Same thing with any windows sound event. Windows XP Login noise is cut at the beginning (i just hear the end). It's almost like the spdif...

2 days later... it's fixed. for all you who are wondering, or would like help me try to explain it, here is how it is now working. Downloading new software & driver packages from both realtek and gigabyte did nothing. On a "ready to give-up" whim, I installed Power DVD (6.1 channel version)...

So i'm running a P4S333 with a 2.0a and (2) x 256mb Crucial PC2700. Workin' great, cept one thing. When I restart the box, either through XP or after modifying bios, the cpu will hang. i have to cycle the PS and then it boots. Odd, eh? Anyone have any ideas? BTW: I'm turned everything back...

My real question still stands: is my FSB and ram set correctly? I think the jumper-free runs them both at 100mhz...

Hey guys, This is the second computer I'm attempting to build. The first one was in 1998, it was a PII350 and a friend of mine set all the jumpers for me. Now i'm realizing my experience isn't enough to figure all this out. I have the Asus P4s333 and Intel 2.0a with (2) 256mb Crucial PC2700...
