I have been seeing so may issues with motherboards having bent pins. I think Intel needs to go back and redesign how the CPU interfaces with the motheboard. I never had any issues back in the day with older CPUs where the pins were on the processor.
The only thing I can think of that causes...
Aside from my decision for not going with Asus, from the two boards, going with the cheaper board, GA-Z77-DS3H which meets all of my current needs (no OC or SLI) is it a bad thing to get this board because of the Realtek 887 chipset and just the fact the board is cheap (no heatsink to the left...
Everyone has their own preferences and I just don't like the Asus board that I bought. It takes around 10-15 seconds coming out of sleep mode from the time I press enter to when it is on my desktop. My old Gigabyte is into the desktop immediately after I press enter.
Ok so the Asus is out...I'm planning on returning it tomorrow. I'm looking at possibly either getting a GA-Z77-DS3H or GA-Z77X-D3H. I don't plan to overclock or even game. Actually the only reason I may want to upgrade is to encode video faster. I really don't think I need all of the features of...
And I finally found the issue with my one Gigabyte board waking up after it is in sleep mode and I switch systems on my KVM switch. They had hidden in their secret options a "USB Device Wake-Up from S3" option. The only way to get the hidden options is with Ctrl+F1 but I had thought that was...
Thanks for the response. I honestly don't know where to go at this point. Gigabyte does sell Z77 boards that have Realtek audio but they are in the $180 range, for me since I don't overclock is worthless. The 8 SATA ports are nice to have but I can get those on the lower boards. To me Gigabyte...
Hi All,
I bought and Asus P8Z77-V LK board this week. I posted in another thread that I have some issues with the board that I am not happy with. These are mostly aesthetics but none the less are bothering me.
1) The LED lights are slightly dimmer than the board that it replaced which was...
I just think they had a bad batch of these and you are probably better off returning it (even if you take a hit on it).
It may not have even been NewEgg dropping this, rather somewhere in transit from the boat to them.
Did you get this from NewEgg? They may have either a bad batch or someone dropped a set of these as I have been seeing a ton of issues being reported from the comments. I bought mine from Microcenter and haven't had any issues with it. With that said, as soon as I can get everything taken apart...
Epic,
That really sucks. I was reading some of the reviews on the Egg and there was at least two or three people that had bent pins. Maybe someone dropped a box of these on the floor at their warehouse. On my first boot I got the beeps but I think that was because my VGA cable was loose...
I hope everything goes well for you. I think the overall board quality is a bit cheaper compared to my older Gigabyte....I can't comment on the new model Gigabytes but my old one was held down to the case with 9 screws where this board only has 6. It almost feels like the edge is going to crack...
